End of the Semester
I can't believe that I am now officialy halfway thru with my final year of Grad school. It's been a crazy and hectic semster to say the least but I've felt my growth as an artist and as a person. I've learned not only from my incredibly brilliant teachers but also from my classmates and peers. Their boundless creativity inspires me more and more each day and I'm so honored to be able to collaborate with them.
I finished off the semester with two performances in my final ASDS Festival EVER!!!
Scenework III: Giving Up the Ghost by Cherríe Moraga. Marisa: Yessenia Rivas Amalia: Katasha Acosta
Devising: #Sugar #Spice Directed by Evan F. Caccoppoli with help from Brian Rhinehart Actors and Creaters: Yessenia Rivas, Jalissa Fulton, Eva Cavadini, Camila Padilla, Kate McManus
I could not have been more proud to have finished off my final ASDS Festival with these two performances. Somehow it doesn't seem real. It hasn't hit me yet that I'm so close to the end of my education at Actors Studio Drama School.
Next semester I gear up to perform a scene from When We Were Young and Unafraid by Sarah Treem alongside Miaojuen Chen. Miao and I then perform our thesis of "The Lodger" by Joan Schenkar later on in the semester. I hope you can come and watch!
